Join the Death Matters team and thousands of Canadians to participate in Hike for Hospice Palliative Care, a unique national fundraising event held across Canada that brings together organizations working collectively in hospice palliative care to raise funds and awareness in their community!
We are proud to be a team for this year’s event to support one another in our fundraising efforts toward the new Halifax hospice building. Please help us by joining our team or donating today!
With your support, you’ll help to ensure that our local hospice palliative care programs are able to continue providing quality programs and services to those in our community.

Emera building, 1223 Lower Water Street, Halifax
Registration starts at 1 p.m.
Hike starts at 2 p.m.
Consider coming at 1 p.m. to register early and enjoy the entertainment beforehand. We also welcome ‘walk up’ registrations for the Hike.
The Hike will follow a 5.2 kilometre return route from the Emera building to the site of new residential hospice at 618 Francklyn Street. Given the route’s initial uphill path, an Ambassatours coach bus will be available for hikers with reduced mobility. After, hikers will gather at the Emera building for tasty barbecue and cake and continued entertainment.
